Nanchang Institute of Technology is a private ordinary undergraduate (second-tier) college approved by the Ministry of Education, which was founded in May 1999; In April 2001, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college with the approval of the People's Government of Jiangxi Province, which was named Jiangxi Aerospace Science and Technology Vocational College; In May 2005, approved by the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to the first batch of private undergraduate universities in Jiangxi Province and named Nanchang Institute of Technology(NIT). Nanchang Institute of Technology was conferred by the State Ministry of Education and entitled the academic degree granting authority ratified by Jiangxi Academic Degree Committee to confer Bachelor's degree in April 2009. NIT was the first batch of private colleges and universities in Jiangxi Province which successfully passed the qualification evaluation of undergraduate teaching at one time by the State Ministry of Education in 2012. The expert group unanimously commented that Nanchang Institute of Technology is an outstanding leader of private education. NIT has signed the contract of joint training of postgraduate students with East China Jiaotong University in April 2015, which has been formally carried out recently. In April 2017, it was listed by the Academic Degrees Committee of the People's Government of Jiangxi Province as an authorized Master Degree construction unit of the "13th Five Year Plan"; In February 2018, it was named by the Ministry of Education as a characteristic school of national defense education; In November 2018, it successfully passed the review and evaluation of undergraduate teaching by the Ministry of Education. The expert group agreed that Nanchang Institute of Technology is a national demonstration private university with distinctive national defense education characteristics and remarkable achievements in educating people with military spirit. In 2021, it was listed by the Academic Degrees Committee of Jiangxi Provincial People's Government as the authorized Master Degree construction unit of the "Fourteenth Five Year Plan".

南昌理工学院坐落在“物华天宝、人杰地灵”“天下英雄城”江西省南昌市，是教育部批准设置、南昌航天科技集团出资举办的民办普通本科高校。前身是1999年创建的江西航天科技专修学院，2001年，经江西省人民政府批准升格为江西航天科技职业学院；2005年，经教育部批准升格为江西省首批民办本科高校，定名为南昌理工学院。2012年，通过教育部本科教学合格评估，专家组一致评价：南昌理工学院是民办教育的一面旗帜；2018年，通过教育部本科教学工作审核评估，专家组一致认为：南昌理工学院是全国示范性民办高校，国防教育特色鲜明，军魂育人成效显著；2016年、2022年分别被江西省人民政府学位委员会列为“十三五”“十四五”硕士授权立项建设单位。2024年11月，接受了教育部本科教育教学审核评估，专家组对学校本科教育教学工作给予了充分肯定。
The Jiangxi Engineer Association was registered and established in February 2016 under the Department of Civil Affairs of Jiangxi Province as a provincial-level first-class society. It is the only social organization within the engineering profession in Jiangxi Province and one of the founding units of the Chinese Society of Engineers. The association is an academic, non-profit social organization voluntarily formed by professional and technical personnel in the fields of engineering technology, engineering education, and engineering management, as well as related enterprises, institutions, universities, research institutes, and social organizations. It is a legally recognized scientific and technological association that serves as a bridge and link between the Party, the government, and the vast number of scientific and technological workers in the engineering and technical fields across the province. The business supervisory unit of the association is the Jiangxi Association for Science and Technology.
The Jiangxi Engineer Association adheres to the mission of "building a communication platform, disseminating scientific knowledge, promoting engineering technology, enhancing professional capabilities, and fostering independent innovation." It is committed to undertaking relevant social functions transferred by the government, conducting academic exchanges in the field of engineering technology, providing scientific and technological demonstrations and consulting services, and promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and the popularization of technical knowledge. The association also recognizes and rewards outstanding engineering and technical personnel, projects, and scientific research achievements, recommends excellent talents, organizes scientific and technological training and continuing education for members, supports talent development, participates in the formulation of technical standards, professional technical qualification reviews and certifications, and reflects the suggestions, opinions, and demands of its members to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests.
江西省工程师联合会于 2016年2月在江西省民政厅登记成立（省级一级学会），是江西省工程师业内唯一的社会团体，是中国工程师联合体发起单位之一，由省工程技术、工程教育、工程管理系列专业技术人员和相关企事业单位、高校、科研院所、社会团体等机构自愿组成的学术性、非营利性社会组织， 是具有法人资格的科技团体，是党委政府联系全省广大工程技 术领域科技工作者的桥梁和纽带。业务主管单位为江西省科学技术协会。
江西省工程师联合会秉承“搭建交流平台，传播科学知识，推广工程技术，提升专业能力，促进自主创新”宗旨，将致力于承接政府转移的相关社会职能，开展工程技术领域学术交流、 科技论证及咨询服务，促进科技成果的转化和技术知识的普及； 表彰奖励优秀工程技术人员、项目及科研成果，推荐优秀人才； 组织科技培训和会员继续教育，服务人才成长；参与技术标准 制定、专业技术资格评审和认证；反映会员的建议、意见和诉求，维护会员的合法权益等工作。
